About the role
As a Business Growth Consultant, you'll help GradIntent figure out how to grow: how to reach more customers, increase revenue, and create new products and services. You'll study the market, spot opportunities and recommend what GradIntent should do next. GradIntent will set the goals. How you reach them is up to you. This role is like being a junior consultant: you research, analyse, and make a clear case for your ideas. You'll work directly with our founder, who reviews your work and gives feedback every week, and alongside other interns across social media, content, web and tech.
What you'll do
Example questions you might work on
- Customers: Which new group of students or families could GradIntent help, and how would we reach them?
- Revenue: Would offering a package of services work better than single sessions?
- Products: What new service could GradIntent offer that students and families would pay for?
These are just ideas. You can explore your own.
1. Understand the business
- Learn how GradIntent works: what it offers, who its customers are, and how it earns revenue
- Identify what's working well and where there's room to grow
2. Research
- Study the education and careers market for students, families and schools
- Look at other education companies to see what they offer, how they price it and how they grow
- Track trends that could create new opportunities for GradIntent
3. Analysis
- Find growth opportunities in customers, revenue and products
- Use data and research to decide which opportunities are worth pursuing
4. Recommendations
- Build a business case (a clear argument for an idea, with the costs, benefits and risks) for your best opportunities
- Present your recommendations to GradIntent's founder
5. Testing and tracking
- Help test an approved recommendation in a small way
- Track the results and suggest what to do next
Throughout: work with other interns, drawing on what the social media, content, blog and website teams are learning, and sharing ideas they can use.
What you'll deliver
